Welcome to Monday’s weekly Lacrosse News and Video post There is plenty of news worth paying attention to in this week’s lacrosse news and video post, as well as a must-watch video on the 2015 NCAA Lacrosse Rules, which so far, only about 2,000 people have watched. That number should be 200,000. Everyone should watch the 2015 NCAA Lacrosse Rules video. I can’t stress that enough.
Here is the news worth reading, the videos worth watching, and just a little commentary. I can’t help myself. Oh and yea, the traditional above is beautiful, thanks.

The Squamish Nation and the Langley-based Vancouver Stealth pro lacrosse team have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a ceremony held at the Squamish Nation Elders Centre in North Vancouver.

Death of Tucker Williams Has Community Reeling
The entire Canadian lacrosse community seems to be impacted by the passing of 8 year old Tucker Williams. Tucker was a young star and the son of NLL fixture Shawn Williams. He inspired the #BraverThanBrave hashtag on social media and his story has grabbed the hearts of many.
New England Black Wolves’ New Look
There have been some serious changes for the Black Wolves franchise, and I’m not just talking about their move from Philadelphia to a casino in Connecticut. There’s a new name, new jerseys, and some new faces on their roster. There is some carry over, and the team still has an American bend to it, at least on the defensive end of the floor. I’m intrigued by this team… the quality definitely seems to be there.
I’m glad to see the Hartford Courant get it right, because Fox CT seems to be having some trouble figuring out which league the team will play in. MAJOR League Lacrosse, Fox? Are you sure about that? At least they’re talking about it!

From Israel Lacrosse To The Israeli Army
Matt Flapan, a member of the Israel national lacrosse team, explains that three of his teammates have recently gone off to serve in the IDF because they want to serve their country in another way, but they’re still planning to play on their spare weekends.

US Lacrosse Provides Look At Hybrid Youth Program
If it’s not a rec or town program, and it’s not a travel or elite program… what is it? It’s sort of a hybrid program, that takes parts of both worlds. Does it take the best of both worlds? You can be the judge on that. As a bonus, here are 11 essential principles for lacrosse practice planning.
2017 Long Island Pole With Game
I really like Nick Paris’ highlight tape for three reason. 1) It’s long, so we can see a lot. 2) He displays a good range of ability. 3) It’s varsity high school footage from Long Island. That’s a solid recipe if you’re good. And he is!

Youth Lacrosse Growing Internationally
Lacrosse for adults is becoming more and more common around the world. The options for youth players are often much more limited. 40 kids playing lacrosse in Hong Kong might not seem like a lot, but it’s a good start. We hope to see development like this continue around the world.
