Epoch Lacrosse has released five generations of lacrosse shafts and today they release their first ever lacrosse head in The Hawk. Epoch developed this head in conjunction with Flip Naumburg of Vail, CSU, Rock-it-Pocket, and offset head technology fame. The head is something truly different, and I have been fortunate enough to play with a couple of recent prototypes.
The holiday season is in full effect, and with it comes relaxing, good food, and time with family. It can be tough to stay in shape during this time of year, but it’s always important to keep training, especially with lacrosse season starting right after the holidays. How do you stay in shape over the holidays? That’s what this week’s poster wants to know!

ConBroChill made the videos with is zany crew, so they have that distinct CBC feel to them, and are quite entertaining. As an added bonus, the videos are also quite informative! Each week we’re going to post his new clip along with a Q&A from the man himself; Connor Martin!
You want to see the Gaits, Petro, Blatchley, Tim Soudan, Scott Hiller, Randy Fraser, Dennis Goldstein, Rob Shek, and Ronnie Klausner tear it up on the field? Want to see Linthicum was in net for Mt Washington, and McCabe was in net for Brine in some sweet USCLA action from 1992? Yeah, we thought so.
By now you probably know that Devon Wills has become the first female player on a Major League Lacrosse roster. While she wasn’t picked up in the Supplemental Draft as some may have hoped, the NY Lizards claimed the two-time FIL Women’s World Cup gold medalist out of the Player Pool. While she still has to prove herself to make it from the training camp roster to the game roster, she has the support of many in the lacrosse community, including Connor Martin.
Welcome back to another installment of LaxAllStars’ Lacrosse Mythbusters! We look at interesting or confounding questions within lacrosse, talk to experts, and try to provide some clarity. In the past, we’ve asked if eye black really works, and found it does. We also wondered if traditional pockets were heavier than mesh pockets. Now we’re back and curious about the concept of the curve ball lacrosse shot!
In November, Team USA players visited San Clemente for a boys lacrosse clinic. This past weekend, San Clemente once again played host to a US Lacrosse clinic, this time a girls clinic coached by women’s national team players. MaxLaxOC was at both events, and captured some great footage.
Today for the 5th Day of Laxmas we have a Warrior Rabil X head. This bad boy is Rabil certified, if it’s good for #99, it’s definitely a quality gamer. Check out the video and see if you won. If you didn’t, you still have 7 more days of Laxmas to snag a new piece of lacrosse gear, HeadWrapz 50 decal, or a free subscription to LAS Insider.
The Guardian National Championship is a brand new “championship style” goalie combine, and it is the brain child of Ginny Capicchioni. The idea behind the combine is that “the best of the best, both domestically and internationally, are invited to compete against each other for the chance to be crowned the Guardian of their age group”. We had to learn more!
Great teams are just that… teams. They aren’t a couple of good players and others who can do their jobs. That is not greatness. That is just sliding by. True teams are singular units capable of greatness, whose sum is greater than its parts, and I’ve encountered them before.
The past few months have been packed with custom orders. Below, are a list of vids of a few pieces that went out to my customers. I’m always jamming the music in the studio. Try not to laugh too much at my variety of music…
The older prototype that I had here is a metal one, and not carbon fiber. I’ve used a carbon fiber flex shaft before and was able to get a lot of flex and snap on my shots. I was really interested to see if I could make this work on a metal Epoch shaft. So we took it out and went shooting. The real point was to go shoot… always is!
On the 4th Day of Laxmas we have a Revo 3X Head from Warrior. This is a head we wanted to keep for ourselves, but we’re sharing the love. Check out the video and see if you won.
