The Brooklyn Brawl Lacrosse Tournament is back for its second year, and is looking bigger and better than ever. Last year’s inaugural tourney saw four quality teams from across the New York City area, and this year’s event is looking to expand to more teams, while still retaining its excellent one-day format.
The Brooklyn Brawl will be played at Aviator Sports Complex on October 13th, and the event starts around noon, and will end by 7pm. Aviator has two field turf playing surfaces right next to each other, with ample parking, and is a great place for some lacrosse. Aviator is located on a portion of the historic Floyd Bennett Field, New York City’s first municipal airport.
Last year’s tourney saw Team Jesse and Jagermeister strong arm their way into the Finals, with Team Jesse coming back from a 12-11 deficit to win 13-12. It was a spirited, back and forth game, and both teams had some notable players in attendance, including Andy Wasik and Greg Downing, who are pictured above.
The full roster of teams isn’t yet set for the 2013 Brooklyn Brawl, so if you’re looking to get in one more tourney before Winter sets in, this should be on your list!
