November has been a quiet month in Italy, the weather has been unusually sunny and warm, which is unexpected but great for playing lacrosse. It helped the Italian Championships see 4 very spectacular matches played this month.

The Italian Cup was played in Nettuno (Rome) on September 28th and 29th. Six teams (Bocconi Sport Team, Roma Leones, Red Hawks Merate, Phoenix Perugia, Torino Taurus and Bologna Sharks) brought lacrosse to Nettuno, the “town of baseball” in Italy, with a number of very intense and interesting matches (four games were concluded by sudden death overtime).
On September the 28th the new Italian lacrosse season begins with the Italian Cup and the collaboration between Lacrosse All Stars and Coach Cibe starts again. I hope everyone is ready to lax and to follow Coach Cibe’s news from Italy.
The 2012-13 Italian Championships have drawn to a conclusion! Saturday the 18th of May, and Sunday the 19th, played host to the finals of the Italian Championship, as well as the FIRST-EVER edition of the Women’s Italian Cup, which was played at the Martelli Stadium in Mantova.

The Italian field lacrosse championship have begun with the first matches, which will determine access to the semi-finals. The games took place on February 10th and 17th and here are the results and some additional commentary.
