Elwood: It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

The U-15 boys are playing right now down in Bel Air, Maryland and the U-15 girls just finished up with Team CheckHers (Maryland) beating Stars Gold (Virginia) in the final. Growth at the youth level is always good to see so congrats to all the youngsters participating in the event. Hopefully one day lacrosse can rival the AAU national circut for basketball.

Happy 4th Of July
Cheers! Here’s wishing you and yours a helluva good time this 4th of July. The 4th also marks the 1st birthday of LacrosseAllStars and your dashing Co-Founders are sitting on a beach smoking stogies to celebrate.
In honor of the occasion, I can’t think of a better man to turn to for inspiration. He lead us through the dark times of war and was brave in the face of near annihilation.

Goodnight Sweet Infomercial Prince
God must have spilled something on his favorite shirt and needed some Oxyclean pronto because famed pitchman Billy Mays died today. Wandering over to my computer after a break from the USA soccer choke-fest, I was shocked to hear he passed in his sleep at the age of 50. Famous for his shouting delivery, Mays could sell an igloo to an Eskimo.

Over the past few days I’ve spent my time pondering the results of the draft in addition to debating which Michael Jackson song was the best and which one was the most epic (Billy Jean and Thriller obviously). Now that we have THAT settled, let’s review how the top 10 draft picks shook out shall we?
