The US Indoor Lacrosse Team has released their roster for the Bowhunter Cup this weekend. Come on in to see what this really means.
Reebok sent over some more 2011 gear for LAS to check out and review. Connor Wilson gives his take on how things are shaping up out of Canton, MA. So far, it’s looking good!
It’s not quite “show us your old school” old, but it’s older than contemporary and that’s good enough for now. Relive the classic days of Wesleyan yore!
Fall lacrosse has started back up across the country and New York City is no exception! Ulax offers a great chance for those of us so inclined to get out there and play some lax without a lot of travel or nonsense. 3 games in one day? If you want!
Welcome to the 2nd installment of the LAS Ice Box! Last time was casual sneakers and now we’re back with some thoughts on backpacks. Everyone needs a good lax backpack. You don’t know what a lax backpack is? Read on.
Dyeing: I’m back at it! It’s been a while since I dyed up a spicy meatball so I’m kicking the fall off with an LMU special on a Nike 2010 Legacy. Click through for full pics.
It’s the Cheese. It’s Friday. All is good in the world. Even if Connor Wilson is running the show.
We talk about lax here at LAS, but we’re not afraid to go outside the lines a bit and talk about other sports and personalities as long as we think they are interesting. Here we’re checking in with a recent rugby convert who hails from an athletic family. In fact, his twin played lax at Hobart. Close enough for me!
LAS is looking for old school lax photos. If you, your dad or your pappy have any just sitting around the house, scan them into your computer and let us enshrine them on the internet for the forever time. If your grandfather learns how to log on, he’ll thank you.
Come on in to the ever-cool Ice Box. When we find shoes, clothes and other random stuff we like, we’re going to stuff it in the Ice Box for your consideration. This week we’ve got some excellent footwear recommendations and while you can’t wear most of these joints while playing lax, looking good off the field is still a priority.
Reebok sent over a pair of their new 10K gloves and this past weekend I got a chance to try them out and put them to some good use in the Citylax Shootout. The 10Ks will be used in the NLL this upcoming season and if the pro guys are using them, then they’ll need to be able to take a beating. Let’s see how they stack up.
LAS reader, Dan WIllson, submitted some amazing photos of a pocket that I had actually never heard of. I love random lax info and thought this was definitely worth passing along. And since lacrosse and learning go hand in hand, pay attention so you can get your knowledge on, kid.
The summer is so close to being over. It hurts but the truth does sometimes. To keep your spirits up, we’ve assembled some of the better uniforms we saw from a bunch of different tourneys. Only 9.5 months til Summer 2011!
For the second year in a row, Citylax has put on a great one day tournament out in Southampton, NY on Long Island to benefit their youth and high school programs. The tourney is relaxed, no true Champion is crowned and all of the proceeds go to spreading the game of lacrosse in historically underserved neighborhoods of NYC. Let’s check out the action…
While we love to share our own dye and string jobs here at LAS, we find it even more fun to share submissions from readers! It’s always nice to open up the laptop and see sick photos from readers all lacrosse the world!
LAS didn’t make it to Lake Placid. While we may have cried a tear or two, we made up for it by scouring the bookface and finding photos of our friends ripping it up in Upstate New York. Better late than not at all!!!
Connor Wilson gets down to business and makes some predictions about the MLL Championship Weekend ahead. And yes, all predictions have to do with the games being played. LAX!
Connor takes a shot at stringing up a Pocket 34-inspired contraption. Check it!
As they do every year, the NCAA has recently proposed some rule changes. It’s a bit of a bumpy road but they stay off the rumble strip most of the time.
