Nice to see someone else who remembers the old STX way of stringing the sidewall, which they used in both mesh and traditional pockets well into the 90s. Until last year when I acquired two PL-66s, I didn’t know that Brine also strung heads with this variation of sidewall in the 70s. I do a variation of this but with interlocks on the Coach’s RP Special pocket, but your post has inspired me to give this a shot again. Thanks for sharing, Mark!
