Too much room behind the cage. Move the goals back to get the full box experience.

And if the goalie actually turns around, I’ve seen players bounce shots off the goalie from behind the cage.

Refs are welcome to come out and officiate! We need the help… We’ve just been winging it with randoms. But the “details” would probably be better directed towards the facility manager and not myself

Tell your goalies not to turn their bodies when the ball goes behind the net. Tuck your back against the bar and look over either shoulder.

Unlike field, you have a better chance at stopping an in close shot in box, so you are better off playing the shot than the pass from behind the net.

Not only that, but with the smaller net, there’s a better chance you’ll get hit in box lacrosse than field, so having your back turned could result in more injuries.

Keep it up though, plenty of room for both versions of this game!
