I agree with the Big, Fast, Strong because they definitely exerted some physical dominance. This team reminds me of the 2nd generation of Dream Team basketball players, loaded with superstars, but not the best chemistry. They need Casey Powell, he's earned his cred and his international play makes him probably the best field general, which is kind of what they needed.

Not that bad of a game, but just like you said, they need some time together, real time... not just 48 hours of practice prior to whistle. Plus... they need a Filipino on the roster. #Truth

I'm not totally sold that Canada is as athletic as the US... yet. But they were big, fast, strong... and most importantly skilled. Combine good size and speed with great skills and solid team play and you have a pretty potent force.

Harrison might not have scored a ton, but he definitely impressed, as he was getting clean shots, and once he changed it up, he began to really press for scores. I'd guess the next time he played Canada, he would drop 2-3 at least, having learned from this game.

Matt Bocklet was a gb machine, played well I thought. I was also pretty impressed by Nicky Polanco. I have said he has gotten slow this year, but it looks like I'm wrong on that. He was strong all night.

I don't think this US team has the chemistry they will need to beat Canada. Not because of the coaches or even the players. I just think this group would need more time together. That being said, the 2014 version of this team could be very different, but if they gel, they will be tough to beat.

For the amount of prep time they got, and the sheer number and diversity of players they drew from, the US did pretty well.

Watched the game twice, and both times, def saw that Canada was very athletic and seemed like more powerful overall. Seeing Rabil and Max Seibald try to power through the Canadian defense but really not be able to get through was pretty eye opening, especially when Rabil is such a powerful middie. Crotty's quickness was good preview of things to come, and as always Harrison's trademark dodging ability was showcased even if he wasn't able to put up the points that I thought he would. I really thought that Team USA was over thinking much of their play, and almost second guessing themselves... but of course that's just my two cents.
