Pero una mujer se excedió en su ansiedad cuando roció con gas pimienta a otros compradores con tal de acceder a los descuentos en un comercio de Los Angeles. 

El incidente ocurrió en los pasillos de un Wal-Mart ubicado en el barrio de Porter Ranch. Según el capitán de bomberos de Los Angeles, James Carson, la mujer lo hizo “para tener acceso preferencial a varios lugares de la tienda”.

La acción de la mujer afectó a una veintena de clientes, entre ellos niños: La mayoría de ellos se quejó de dolores de garganta e irritación en la piel y en los ojos.

Entre los productos que se ofrecían con grandes descuentos se encontraban consolas de juegos Xbox, videojuegos para Wii, muñecas y triciclos.

“La gente empezó a gritar, tirándose y empujándose los unos a los otros, y luego toda la zona se llenó de gas pimienta”, describió una de las clientas que estaba en el lugar.
