I didn't mean to come across as confrontational in any way, and I apologize if it appears that way. I also didn't mean to single out laxallstars. It just seems to be a common trend among many lax sites, and particularly among many commenter's. I wrote here because I feel you are the only site which will address this. Your coverage of the D-II, D-III, and MCLA levels is awesome, and shows young players that there are other places to play and, more importantly, continue their academic endeavors. I hope you can show some love for the D-I mid-majors like Siena. Thanks for responding and keep up the great lax coverage!

My apologies that you interpreted my phrasing that way. Certainly not my intention. By outclassed, I simply mean that they were clearly the better team, and I think the score, and game, reflect that. It's not a knock on Siena, those guys have made HUGE strides and are a much more competitive team than they traditionally have been.

I don't doubt the work as hard as anyone, and are great athletes that deserve recognition. Put us in touch with a Siena player or coach, I'd love to talk to them about what they're doing!

You're right that they deserve our respect for going out and playing the game hard and with class. Next time I'll just say a team won, and that nobody was outclassed. How's that sound?

I do not understand how this site can talk about "growing the game", while at the same time they belittle certain teams. Saying that Duke "outclassed" Siena is simply not necessary. Mid D-I teams like Siena are mocked by many lacrosse websites, not just laxallstars, and this bashing of these teams is detrimental to growing the game. So few kids have the opportunity to play at the top D-I schools: they simply don't have the size or talent, or worse are overlooked during the recruiting process. I attend Siena, and have gone to several games this season- these kids can play the game and work as hard as many D-I teams do.
So I ask, why degrade other schools that cannot quite put up the same dominating roster as teams like Duke or UVA? These kids have worked hard to reach the Division I level, give them a little respect.

The MCLA's Top 23 Poll is about as indicative of anything reliable as Charlie Sheen's drug test. When you get down under #15 or so, it's really just a crap shoot; any of those teams could go either way with one another on a given weekend. If there's one thing that's becoming more true of the MCLA now than ever, it's that the teams between #15 and #35 are becoming more and more competitive with one another, yet we wonder why we're so eternally frustrated with the success and/or failure of the MCLA's Top 23 poll.
