I’m going to stay optimistic and say that anything is possible here! Could the first girl to earn a win and to pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history and the first Little League baseball player to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a Little Leaguer, want to give it all up try her hand at something new?
In a video clip from the 2014
The interviewer and the crowd seemed to be caught off guard when the tri-sport athlete announced that she wouldn’t mind trying her hand at lacrosse…to which we say YES, PLEASE!
Imagine what a female who has already made great waves in the sporting world by age 12 could do for the lacrosse community as a whole. The spotlight would make its way to women’s lacrosse carrying a great deal positive national press for the game!
Honestly, I don’t care what sport this 13 year old from Philly plays, as long as it’s her choice and she continues to dominate the competition while doing so. Considering she’s 5’4”, 111lbs and throws 70 mph heaters, I’ll take her as feeder or heck, we can even teach her to shoot and let her crank the high-heat at the goalies all day!
Mo’ne, if you happen to be reading this, shoot us an email and we would be honored to provide you with your very own lacrosse stick to give the sport we love a try!
