The 30th regular season of the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) is complete, playoff seeds decided and the quest for the Baggataway Cup has begun. Twelve teams are set to begin their pursuit of the league title with division playoff games scheduled for this week.

West Division champion Brock Badgers (11-1) and East champ McGill Redmen (12-0) are the favorites to clash in the final, but challenges await before that potential date.

Western (10-2), Bishop’s (10-2) and defending champion Guelph (8-4) pose the biggest threat to the top teams with Queen’s (7-5), Carleton (6-6), Toronto (6-6) and Laurentian (6-6) hoping to surprise with an upset.

The top two leading scorers both wear the jersey of the Queen’s Gaels. Joshua Smith (38 goals, 22 assists) and Brendan Zoehner (23 goals, 36 assists) accounted for nearly 38% of the team offense and help make the Gaels a threat every game.
