Throwback Thursday: How Good Was Petro?

Today’s Throwback Thursday post focuses on Dave Pietramala, and we’re using a 1989 NCAA Semifinal game between Johns Hopkins and UNC to demonstrate his straight up dominance. Petro is now the head coach at Hop, but he was also a terror with a longstick on the field during his playing days. He drew the top assignment, and then made them pay.

Thanks to Lax School for this awesome Old School video! Check them out on YouTube for more.

Petro has won NCAA D1 titles as a player and coach, AND he has been named both player, and coach, of the year during his career. Petro was also a 3-time First Team All-American, and he played in the MILL after college. He was also a two-time Team USA member where he won two ILF titles, was named All World twice and was the 1990 World Championships MVP.

Not too shabby!

Watch some more old video and be impressed!
