Do you want names? I've been to UNLV games and have personally seen at least one kid play two seasons who was not enrolled at the time. You know who I'm talking about. I may be a tool, but at least I'm not a lying cheater. Do the right thing. Have some dignity, for God's sake.

And don't defend a man who would threaten to kill some hack ref over a club lacrosse game. Really.

I've heard of things like that happening when the team doesn't have enough players to play the game. They forfeit their game, but still play it by letting non-students play in the game. It's usually a one-time-only kind of thing.

IMO FWIW not a big deal if both teams agree to still play it. When given the choice, I'd rather play than not. But if they made it a habit of always allowing non-students, or tried to play their regular season without disclosing it, thats a big deal.

Maybe while they're looking into stuff at UNLV, they'll find out there are kids playing on the lacrosse team that don't even go to UNLV. I'm pretty sure that's against the rules, too. If I ran that program, I'd wipe the slate clean with the coaching staff before they ruin UNLV lacrosse.

I was an underclassman at BHS when “Magic” was a senior there…. He was a cocky hot shot jerk then, and obviously still is now.
Kid got what he had coming to him…karma.

Here is what really happened @ the UNLV/Utah Valley University game, @ about 3 minutes left in game (running 30 minute halfs) the score was tied. The UNLV player began to shove and took swing @ UVU player. UVU player threw up his arms a was backing up. The referees stepped in, penalized the player and tried to restart the game, what happened over the next three minutes was the most unsportsmanlike actions I have ever seen as a spectator. The coaches came onto the field , there was physical contact by them with the referees, multiple penalties, several players came onto the field during this time, and the outcome was that by all of this the team came away with a tie instead of having 3 minutes of being penalized and probably would have lost this game, oh, and as far as “mooning” was involved there were several players that participated after the game was called due to time! The next day as UNLV played Westminster College (Salt Lake City) they did similar time wasting by getting multiple penalties until game ended when Westminster came within 1 goal of evening the score. This appeared to be the way this team was coached so I do not feel sorry for them to lose his “guidance” for several years.

Devil's advocate here: Might it reason that the MCLA doesn't want to be pointing big red arrows at itself over an incident like this? If I were a large organization that sought national credibility I think I'd look the other way too...
