The production value of the video above doesn’t hurt, but what’s really good about it is the skill on display from attackman Jason Kelly of Salesianum Lacrosse. He’s got a strong left hand, good size, and a nice ability to parlay that size, speed, strength, and skill into tons of solid scoring chances. He also buries the ball pretty well, and finds open teammates nicely.
I like that Kelly doesn’t rely solely on his size, but finds open space, and moves the ball when he should. He takes what he is given after creating a chance, and that is a big part of playing D1 lacrosse. Kelly is set to go to St. Joseph’s University next year.
