The Ohio Machine Find Comfort in Bayhawk Win 16-14

The Ohio Machine have now matched this season’s win total with the franchise’s combined wins in the first two seasons. When the Machine #OilUp against the Bayhawks, big things happen. Chesapeake is the first, and only, team to be swept by the Machine this season so far.

The Machine are now sitting pretty in the #5 slot, tied with Charlotte and Florida. It will be make or break for Ohio when they face both of those squads after the World Championship break. The Machine has to hope for the Cannons to slip up while they remain strong through the season’s end.

Joe Walters continues to blow minds, he was running the show for Chesapeake finding the net 4 times himself. Scoring came from all over for the Machine, Holman had 4 while Harrison, Schrieber and Baum each had 2.

This weekend’s goals tie Marcus Holman and Peter Baum for #7 in overall goals this season and it also moves the Ohio offense into the #1 spot for goals scored. Hopefully the addition of Steven Waldeck can be the staple the Machine need to keep the defense together.

The final was 16-14 and in typical Machine fashion, it was a back and forth game of tug-o-war the entire time.

This season is far from over for the Ohio Machine. Unfortunately it looks like last year’s defending MLL champs will be watching the playoffs from the comfort of their couches.
