Australia – Travel, LAX, Vail

Australia took off from the Land Down Under, and arrived in Los Angeles late last week. The team held a couple of training sessions, visited Dick’s Sporting Goods (to stock up on lax gear!), ate some burgers, and scrimmaged an All-Star team from the LA area, whom they defeated 15-8. Australia took a large 8-1 first quarter lead. From LA, the Sharks head to Vail for more training and warm up action, and then they play in the Blue Division against the US, Canada, the Iroquois, England, and Japan.

For more on the Aussie team, check out this interview with their head coach!

Kevin Durant – Philippines Lacrosse Fan?

Kevin Durant was in Texas, and the Philippines Lacrosse Association introduced him to PLA lacrosse. Pretty cool! The PLA will be participating in the accompanying World Championships Festival tournament, and should make their first field lacrosse appearance in 2018.
