Outlaws, nor rain, could stop Rob Pannell and Lizards

Thursday night the New York Lizards sealed their #1 seed for the MLL post-season with a 18-15 win over the Denver Outlaws.

The final regular season home game for the Lizards was electrified by a 7 point performance from all-star Rob Pannell, where he netted 5 goals and 2 assists.

Face-off legend Greg Gurenlian dominated the night, starting of by winning the opening draw, pushing the ball down the field and scoring the first goal of the night with only 5 seconds missing from the clock. Gurenlian finished the game with an impressive 30 wins out of 35 takes, and we’re sure the other 5 weren’t his fault (I’m scared of Beast)!

Both JoJo Marasco and Tommy Palasek also put up hat tricks in the rainy win, while Paul Rabil and Ryan Walsh were good for two a piece.

Drew Snider put in work for the Outlaws with 4 goals and 1 assist while Jesse Schwartzman finished with 19 saves in the loss.

It’s also worth pointing out that Denver rookie Mike Bocklet, the oldest of the Bocklets, notched another hat trick, bringing him up to 23 goals and 31 points in 10 games. In fact, Mike hasn’t played in a single MLL game without earning at least one point.
