Ohio State and Notre Dame Team camps also pay coaches $1000. Its basically a “Thanks for bringing your team” gift. Also, coaches who bring teams to “Team Camps” act as camp staff, so its somewhat of a stipend.

Lastly, the checks often times are made out to the organization, so not always does that money filter right to the coach. Some programs could hook their players up with something fun with the money.
