While I would have to choose experience over youth, (being that I am Mrs. “he’s 35!” KO) you can’t ignore the fact that Maverick lost their face off guy early in the 2nd with a nasty broken leg. That can throw off the momentum and rhythm of any team.

I had the privelege of watching Maverik Elite in last years shootout,
and their roster really was the perfect weapon. The veteran attack unit
of Casey Powell, Sean Lindsay, and John Christmas was most impressive.
But they had an studly cast of young-guns as well…John Galloway,
Shamel Bratton, Jovan Miller…it was a lot of fun to watch. Sounds like
this years team was more youth than experience.

Don’t forget about the party atmosphere…I’ve seen many a team crumble come Sunday morning! Do some of the older teams take it easier? Probably.
