The Creighton Bluejays racked up 2 more wins over the weekend. The first contest was in Mount Vernon, IA against Cornell College. The Jays came out strong and never let up. Cornell played hard and their goalie had a great game stopping plenty of potential goals. The final score was 21-0, the first shutout of the season for the Jays and Sophomore Goalie Kevin Wiederin. Top performers were Junior Attackman Alex Boschulte (6 goals), Junior Middie Sam Olson (2 goals, 1 assist) and Sophomore Middie Cyle Johnson (2 goals, 1 assist).

The game stayed fairly close all game and the constant throwing of penalty flags really slowed the game down. Creighton Bluejays scored went it counted most and never gave up a lead to the Mavericks. The final was 12-7 with the Bluejays getting the win. The win gave the Creighton Bluejays a 3-0 record in their subdivision for the season. Top performers were Senior Middie Kent Lighthall (3 goals, 4 assists) and Senior Attackman Tyler Craven (3 goals).

The Creighton Bluejays will be tested this upcoming weekend as they take on two out-of-conference opponents in Colorado. The team will take on the University of Northern Colorado Bears on Saturday and the Regis University Rangers on Sunday.
