Each week we’re looking for a superb lacrosse photo from one of our readers. If your photo is selected as Photo Of The Week, you win something awesome from LAS!
This week, we’re featuring TWO photos, and one is an action shot, while the other is a REaction shot, to prove that the ball actually went in the goal! I’ll let our anonymous submitter fill you in further:
This is Tanner Castagna, #12, Junior at Archbishop Rummel High School, Metairie , LA. Tanner is a left handed attack. This was a game at the Battle by the Beach Tournament in against North Shore’s Varsity team. Both Rummel Varsity and Junior Varsity were undefeated in this tournament.
The ball was passed down the field bouncing towards him and the goalie was running at him, so Tanner shot the ball without moving his feet , nor did he look at the goal. He made it! The next picture is after the play when the team ran to him and were amazed by this mind blowing goal.
The element of surprise is your friend, Tanner! When a goalie doesn’t suspect the shot, an offensive player can definitely manage to score in some creative ways. Fantastic stuff down in Louisiana!
(Editor’s note: Since the photographer is anonymous… TANNER – you just won yourself a pair of GTG Laces! Email us your mailing address!)
