Music Monday: Jackson Breit Does It All

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all of our readers!

I hope everyone had a superb weekend and is ready to get back to the grind this week. To start things off with some energy, I am introducing the young, up and coming Jackson Breit, a business student out of Tulane who can sing/rap/play guitar/make beats/probably do a lot of other things too.

Jackson Breit released an EP titled In the Shade in 2013 and has been dropping a trail of funky and catchy singles ever since. He has a truly unique voice and the gift of rapping, as well, which leads to a lot of versatility in his music. The smooth beats are often piano- or guitar-based as you’ll find in the songs below.

“Almost There” and “Eye for an Eye” are two recent singles that Breit released to the internet. “While I’m Driving” is from 2013 and is the first song of his that I ever heard. Finally, his freestyle on Drake’s “The Motion” wraps up this post (no pun intended) with a different style than the other three.

I must say, he has one of the best melodic rapping abilities I’ve ever heard.

Keep listening!

Warning: You may hear some explicit language in the following tracks. Be cautious when listening.
