Game Photos: Limestone Wins D2 Championship

Limestone defeated LIU Post 12-6 for the D2 national title in NCAA Men’s Lacrosse today. The game started out tight, but Limestone slowly began to pull away and never looked back. On the day, they were the best team, but the margin of victory was larger than anticipated, and probably bigger than many segments of the game would make you think.

Both teams put on a show, and Limestone really showed their brand of somewhat chaotic lacrosse to the world. A “no name” D rose to the challenge, they kept Post to only six goals, and the offense scored some beautiful goals, while also notching a couple others with sheer power.

It’s not about the write up… it’s about the images!

Congrats to Limestone on winning another D2 Championship! Still the Southern-most school to win a title in NCAA lacrosse (Gaffney, South Carolina).
