Tie Up Tuesday: Greg Kenneally, East Coast Dyes

Editor’s Note: Welcome back to Tuesday Tie Up from Epoch Lacrosse! Each week, we feature a guest lacrosse personality to help you see how the big guns string their heads. You’re sure to learn a thing or two, so pay attention! We’ll let Epoch take it from here…

Next up in the Live from LaxCon series we have East Coast Dyes founder Greg Kenneally tie up The Hawk with East Coast Mesh.

We had the pleasure to sit down and film with Greg right in the middle of LaxCon! Greg is a veteran when it comes to tying up heads, he has a very creative and efficient style.

Greg ties up a very clean, high pocket utilizing a 9 diamond top string and anchoring the mesh down tight all around the head. He ties up a college legal pocket with 2 straight shooters and 1 nylon weaved right above his top lace.

He put his nylon shooter in first to completely lock down the pocket and to help the ball release smoothly.

What we love about this tie up is the use of 4 diamonds being pulled tightly down before creating the high pocket depth immediately after. Once the pocket is in place, Greg lays the 3 shooting strings across where the high pocket begins.

You can view more of Greg on the famous East Coast Dyes YouTube channel and follow them on Instagram too.
