Grow The Game: Uganda National Lacrosse Championships!

uganda_lacrosse

Uganda Lacrosse is taking off in a major way, and while there are four African nations involved in the FIL (Uganda, Ethiopia, Namibia and South Africa), only Uganda is an Associate Member Nation with a great shot of competing at the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Denver.

Recently, Uganda held their national championships, and Fields of Growth was there to take it all in. Kevin Dugan recently left Notre Dame to work on Fields of Growth full-time, and we’re extremely excited to see where it all goes with even more time and involvement!

Considering lacrosse has only been played in Uganda for a short time, these guys are incredibly good! The level of passion and dedication displayed has been impressive, and we wish the Uganda Lacrosse program, as well as Fields of Growth, the best of luck moving forward! Ugandans are really Growing the Game, on both the men’s and women’s side, and we absolutely LOVE IT!
