Jonny Vegas Lacrosse Update

How’s it going everybody? First off, I want to thank LaxAllStars.com for posting all of my articles, and I want to thank everybody that reads them as well.  I’ve been playing a lot of lacrosse lately, and growing the game as much as possible.  (Editor’s Note:  If you missed Jonny’s article on his battle with cancer, you NEED to check it out.)

Growing The Game in the Conejo Valley:
CVLPL – Several months ago I started The Conejo Valley Lacrosse Pick-Up League, for high school and adult players.  We play every Tuesday night in Thousand Oaks, CA. The largest turnout we had was 40 players and that has actually happened on multiple occasions.

Conejo Valley Bombers – The next challenge I took on was forming a Conejo Valley Men’s team (intended for ages 18 and up).  We will most likely get voted into the SCCLA (www.sclax.com) for the 2013 season.  We decided our team name is The Conejo Valley Bombers.  Our team colors are lime green and black.  I have been working hard along with my two officers, Noah Flores and Brandon Wasilewski, at organizing games, practices, meetings with potential sponsors, meeting with potential companies to design and produce our uniforms, and our hard work is already paying off. We have our first official game as a team this Saturday November 5th, vs. South Bay LC. We will also be playing UNLV at LXM PRO 702 in las Vegas on the weekend of December 2-4. Our entire team will be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino. Next, on January 29th, UCSB will be hosting a game against us. You guys can follow The Conejo Valley Bombers on Facebook. Just add Conejo Valley Bombers Lacrosse as a friend.  If you are interested in playing on the team, please send me an email at jon.namer@gmail.com.

Salt Shakerz:
As you guys may know, I am also a player on the Salt Shakerz. We will be playing in The Las Vegas Lacrosse Showcase on November 11-13. My Salt Shakerz teammates and I went undefeated, winning The 2010 Lax Vegas Men’s Open Championship last November.  Being the defending champs, we will need to be at the top of our game to win back-to-back championships.  At Lax Vegas 2010, I was awarded the Salt Shakerz MVP.Las Vegas showcase lacrosse salt shakerz
