NLL Team Tries To Move To Seattle, Gets Confused And Ends Up In Everett

The big lacrosse news today was the relocation of the National Lacrosse League’s San Jose Stealth to Everett, Washington.  Why Everett you ask? Well, first off how dare you not recognize the largest city in Snohomish County, Washington. Second off, Seattle is jam packed with sports teams at the moment, thank you.

You know since the Seattle Supersonics left, the non-football sports scene is booming in the Seattle city limits with major leage soccer and WNBA basketball. (Yeah, we don’t get why they aren’t playing in Key Arena either).

In the end, NW lax fans are can’t be too choosy after the Portland Lumberjax picked up and left town.  Maybe the Jax will find a home in San Jose and this bizarre game of professional lacrosse musical chairs can be over and done with.

Official press release from the Stealth:

After six seasons in San Jose, Calif., the Stealth professional indoor lacrosse team has announced their plans to relocate to the greater Seattle, Washington area. The Stealth, a member of the National Lacrosse League, are coming off a 2009 campaign in which they advanced to the West Division Finals before being ousted by the eventual NLL Champion, Calgary Roughnecks.
