We actually lost to another Canadian team, and we played possibly the worst game of our season. Saying we were rather bad or comparing us to the teams that won the tournament is completely unfair given the circumstances. In our season at home we beat the team that knocked us out 16-5 or something like that. We would love another shot at that tournament and a game against either of the teams in that made it to the gold medal game would be a very close.

Well considering an Oregon team won that tournament and the championship game was a washington v.s. oregon game, this isn't that good of a canadian team... they actually were rather bad

A fair comment to some degree, but the majority of the opposition in the video are American teams (Washington and Oregon) at the Space Needle Shootout in Seattle.

I think the lack of pole strength is more a result of east coast/west coast skils rather than north of the border/south of the border. There just isn't much quality competiton for the good Canadian teams out west. The matchups against the clubs from the east coast and northeastern US aren't so one-sided, but out west I don't think a US team has ever advanced to the finals in the Seattle tournament. Dominated by CDN teams year after year.

I think more of the quality laxers in Canada need to grab a pole. That was not solid D, which of course we know is the knock for field lacrosse up north. Great short stick work though.
