Congratulations to Andy and the Panthers. Next year, my son will be playing lacrosse for Coach Boward at D3 Christopher Newport U, which will be joining the CAC in July 2013. Do you know if the CAC has an AQ?

Here's a video I shot of another player getting sucker punched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98jysugHOVU.

Also, here's the oppostite end of the spectrum (from a player perspective - - see note at the end about the ref). This is from the Philly HS Indoor Championship. The two teams had played 5 games in 5 hours and were exhausted. They had a choice to go home, or play a consolation game. They chose to play. The boys spontaneously decided to have some fun by only shooting trick shots, etc. It was some of the best sportsmanship I've seen - - the players from both teams were cheering for each other, and you can tell from the line up at the end that they thought it was a great way to end the day. Unfortunately, one of the refs said he was disgusted and that the players were a disgrace and it was the worst game he ever had reffed. He stopped the game in the second period. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eKvkvJiUOo

Awesome to see some representation from the south. Game's a growing, and it's not slowing down anytime soon!

Also, with the high school punch thrown, kids will always get heated, some more than others. But it still does not make it okay to throw a fist, or a cheap shot at anyone. There are right ways to go through with it, and if anything, keep it within the bounds of the game, and get him on the field, play higher and better than whomever you might be getting frustrated with. Need to show discipline and constraint.
