I have this argument all day long with my players too.  The other thing of note, especially regarding the UVA and ‘Cuse shooters, is that they are shooting ‘into the goal’ and often times are shooting waist down…where the goalie’s stick is NOT. as to your second point… I dig those too.  Just not in that way.

All good shots, and all have their time and place to be sure.  I just wish I personally shot overhand more, and I wished more of my players shot overhand, so I thought I’d share it!
