I really like the Media Poll Top 20 this week. I can’t say a bad thing about it. I’ve been traveling and eating, eating and traveling, and eating some more. I’m hungry for poll votes, but since no one is giving ME any, I’ll just keep on moving and stuffing food in my face. My ultimate hope is that people decide to forget all about the other pollsters out there, and only focus on me.
Will it happen? No… but in the meantime, I am going to have another pickle. Maybe six.
I have nothing bad to say about anyone, even if I want to because this is just crazy. This is just nuts. Okay. Oh, man.
I REALLY Like The Top 20
1) Brown – Brown is very good. I like Brown.
2) Yale – Yale is also very good. Their game with Brown was fun. I like Yale.
3) Denver – Now this is good team, and I like them.
4) Notre Dame – I like Notre Dame. They are very good.
5) Maryland – One of my advisors told me to attack Maryland, but I like them. They’re a good program.
6) Towson – Their record speaks for itself. I like these guys and can look past a loss to Delaware.
7) Navy – Navy is rising, and going to rise to the zenith in America again. I like them.
8) Albany – Albany is good, they play a fun style. I like this team.
9) Syracuse – Everyone struggles from time to time, but I like Syracuse.
10) Stony Brook – Stony Brook is less heralded, and easier target, but I like them, and simply can’t say a mean thing about them.
11) Johns Hopkins – I like JHU.
12) Air Force – I really like Air Force.
13) Duke – No, Anderson, I won’t attack Duke because math doesn’t tell the whole story in pollsterism. Personally, I like Duke.
14) UNC – This is another team I like.
15) Army – I really like Army.
16) Rutgers – I don’t like getting personal. Rutgers is good.
17) Marquette – Marquette is really good too.
18) Loyola – Loyola is back to their old form, which doesn’t surprise me, because I like Loyola.
19) St. Joseph’s – This may not be a popular opinion, but I like St. Joseph’s.
20) Bryant – I like Bryant.
No Villanova? I do like Villanova. Simply put, they have played 3 top 20 teams in their last 4 games, and have lost all three contests. Their game with Denver was tight, but their losses to Brown and Marquette were by a combined 19 goals. Not good even when you consider Brown, Marquette, and Denver are a combined 29-4 this year. 8 and 11 goal losses are not good omens late in the year. I still like this team though.
I wanted to rank OSU, but I just couldn’t. I’m far too honest, or something. I do still like OSU a lot though. I was almost moved to ban lacrosse entirely because OSU wasn’t in my Top 20, but I can always not do that when I’m not selected as supreme ruler of the poll.
There you go. Liking everyone and staying mindlessly positive while remaining pretty much empty inside. That’s how you win a poll.
