Jingle Brawl (Florida) Recap & Photos

It’s beginning to look a lot like… lacrosse season?! While practice may be relegated to the confides of an indoor gym up North, teams all across the state of Florida gathered at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek this past weekend to compete in the 5th Annual Jingle Brawl Lacrosse Tournament.

Players, parents, and fans were treated to spectacular weather as over 70 teams, which were competing in 12 different divisions, got up and down the field in high octane 7 v 7 outdoor lacrosse action.

The Jingle Brawl Tournament was once again directed and sponsored by Lacrossewear owner Bo Lamon.  Excitement for the game of Lacrosse in the South Florida area is at an all-time high with the recent addition of an MLL franchise in the region, and tournaments like the Jingle Brawl have given players the opportunity to play year-round lacrosse for many years now. North Broward Prep’s new Varsity Head Coach and Lacrosse icon, Casey Powell, was in attendance with his 22 Prep program and children were hanging out with a laxing Santa Claus that was perusing the field in his infamous red suit and Lacrosse stick…

What some fans didn’t know was that behind the beard was World Champion Kevin Finneran.

The entire event went off without a hitch over the weekend as each team was guaranteed at least 4 games. 12 different teams ended their 2013 season with a championship and took home some hardware and champions T-Shirts for their efforts.  If you or your team are interested in competing in the 2014 edition of the Jingle Brawl in sunny South Florida before the holidays, please visit www.JingleBrawlLax.com for more information.
