connor, ive been dying to try and string a traditional pocket. the main reasons my friends and i dont use them is because we have no resources to teach us how to string one. there are far more mesh tutorials. if you can get some1 to make a goood video, or do it yourself on how to string up a trad, i guarantee my friends and i would use it more

I agree it’s sad people haven’t been exposed to traditional stringing; and most likely if they have, they probably paid way too much for it. I string way too much, and there are still people on my team that seee just simple fewer and think its a rock-it pocket. I mean I know lax is a small community in WI, but its just sad to me. On a side note the “eagles”s nest” pocket is just a simple “big word” pocket mccool cane up with way back. Nothing too original in my book.

Tumbas is battie boy. He clearly has a pre Pro 7 back decal on a Pro 7. I mean come on. Michael Jordan didn’t even play lacrosse and neither black nor red is a Pitt color. All white helmets, harrow gloves that say lacrosse, ankle socks and tramp stamps for everyone!

I wish 1000 paper-cuts and a rubbing alcohol bath to whomever peddles monster mesh corner pockets to our lacrosse youth (and in those enticing clown colors! it looks like a can of Four Loko). For shame.

as someone who strings traditional, I couldn’t agree more. There are places, believe it or not, where kids have never even seen a traditional pocket. If one expensive purchase is how they get bitten by the bug, then I’m ok with it. the work does look pretty legit.

anyone who pays for a traditional pocket, or a traditional variant via a website should be shot. There are numerous qualified stringers everywhere who will do it for a fraction of the cost
