Hot Pot Of Lax: Things To Be Thankful For

It’s Thanksgiving tomorrow, so the Hot Pot is taking some time away from scathing morning commentary and opinion, and getting back to the good ol’ basics!  The lacrosse community has a lot to be thankful for, as does LAS, and as do I!

We should all be thankful that we are involved in such a tight and helpful community.  I watch ESPN Rise once in a while, and I’m amazed at how surprised kids-in-need are when they receive sporting goods, because this is such a common occurrence in the lacrosse world, and I’m very fortunate to be able to be a part of something like that.  But it only works that way if we all continue to give our time and equipment, so I’m also thankful for the knowledge that this trend will continue.

I’m thankful that this great game we all play comes from a deeper spiritual place, and that the originators of the game still play it today with passion and skill.  I’m proud to be a part of a living tapestry that goes back in history to the days long before modern nations even existed.  If history truly can lead you like a compass, we are all blessed to share in the direction supplied by lacrosse.

I’m also extemely thankful to be involved with LAS.  I’m surrounded by great people, who love lacrosse, every single day, and I’m able to follow my dream.  Our readers, writers, commenters, and all of my co-workers make each day thrilling and special.  And I’d like to thank you all for that.  And the rest of the LAS monster feels the same way!  Without you guys we don’t exist, and we’re so proud that you like what we do.

On a more personal note, I’m thankful for my family.  They support me without question and have long been the backbone to my success and happiness in life.  From my partner, Rachel, to my parents, brother and sister, and extended family, I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to rely on.  I’m thankful to have you all in my life!!

To everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving (our US readers), have a great Holiday Weekend!  And if you don’t, we’ve got some content lined up to get you through the rest of the week!
