My first thought is “Orlando Titans one season? Anyone?” But then again, with year round sunny weather, no one in Florida really cares about boxla. At least, not even close to the same level of field. If the franchise can be successful in Denver, my guess is if one in Florida can survive 2-3 years, it will be just as successful.

I think we’ll find out about the possibility of a South Florida expansion following All-Star Weekend’s overall attendance. Obviously the numbers won’t completely represent what an average game would draw, but it will give a better idea to see if this area actually wants to come out and support professional lacrosse. Living in FL and playing down here, it’s been amazing to see the growth of the game, but I’m not completely convinced fans will consistently show up to games. I think having a pro team would only help the growth and quality of the game in the area & state, as it would bring some pros down here who could serve as coaches. I’m all for it, just not sure this market is ready.
