I think your points are very valid. In my mind the problem is two-sided: 1) the average lacrosse player “looks” like the “stereotypical” lacrosse player, and 2) the non-lacrosse player judges the average lacrosse player based on the preconceived notion that the laxer IS a “stereotypical” lacrosse player. Kind of a never ending cycle huh? Something needs to change… But what?

We do this for the “growth & benefit” of the game. This is the exact opposite of how things are done in college football; nobody wants to 'help' BSU by agreeing to play them.

When millions of dollars are up for grabs, the “haves” are sure to benefit before the “have-nots.”

I think lacrosse just has the perception of being elitist because of the “stereotypical” lacrosse player, but I don't think lacrosse is really that much of an elitist sport.
