I AM DAVID LEWIS AND I PLAYED WITH DR. MILES HARRISON, DICKIE HALL, AND STANLEY CHERRY ON THE FIRST MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY LACOSSE TEAM (FROM 1970-72). I AM GLAD TO SEE THE PROGRAM IS MAKING THE ATTEMPT TO COME BACK AS A NCAA SANCTIONED PROGRAM.

I went to Lloyd Carter’s presentation in Baltimore (along with the 1 hour chat after) and this is really a tragic story in the lacrosse world. To have Maryland’s official sport not be offered at any of the Historically Black Colleges in the state is, at least to me, lingering racism on a state government level that the legislators maybe aren’t even aware of… the HBC’s are pretty much just forgotten about…
There are a lot of people currently working towards bringing Morgan (and other HBC’s) back into NCAA Lacrosse, so if you hear about their efforts, help spread the word. Thanks LAS!
