I wouldn't mind seeing more NCLL stuff on laxallstars. The NCLL has alot of quality teams like JMU, Towson, Loyola, Morgan State, Cincinnati, Lynchburg and Maryland. There are some teams in the NCLL that can definitely compete, and are very organized. I feel that the NCLL is unappreciated so often because its mostly compared to the MCLA. The two leagues definitely both grow the game, and I think if the NCLL was given more press, then we could grow the game even faster by recognizing schools that already have varsity status teams.

I made the video and I really appreciate this article, but here's what the author means by OUR team growing the game in Mississippi.

The Ole Miss team is pretty much made up of kids from the Northeast, Tennessee or Atlanta area. Which means they all already knew about the sport growing up in a lacrosse community

We have kids like me and others who received offers to play at schools for lacrosse but we chose otherwise. And then we have kids that just picked up a stick and we taught them how to play the game.Luckily we have a strong foundation with our coaches. One of them was a UNC defensemen and won 2 national championships. A lot of people at the university have never even HEARD of the sport of lacrosse but part of our mission is to get the recognition the sports deserves

We are growing the sport by starting leagues in the Starkville area and recruiting from Memphis and the coast of Mississippi where high schools have teams.

I said the NCLL, as in the east coast "club" club league. I know about Ole Miss lacrosse since our mutual friend David Lesher would wear an Ole Miss lacrosse t-shirt every day and another friend of mine regularly attended the team's games in Oxford.

I didn't mean any offense to Ole Miss. They are CERTAINLY doing their part. But they didn't play in this game and are more established. A fair point though.
