Top 5 Plays – 2005 MLL Championship Game

2003’s MLL Championship Game was physical. 2004 featured Roy Colsey shooting the lights out and Michael Watson pulling off what might be the best dive shot goal of all time. It’s a mid-air quick stick, how can you argue with that?

Today we’re counting down the Top 5 Plays from the 2005 MLL Championship Game, which was won by the Bayhawks, 15-9, over the Lizards. As you may have guessed from the video, Gary Gait was named the game MVP. Goals from Blake Miller, Chris Massey, Mike Powell, Gary Gait, and a GB to outlast all GBs. It’s an awesome Top 5!

For more, check out last week’s Traditional Thursday, which features MLL Championship Weekend present by Smartlink goals, scored with traditional sticks from 2001-2003. We also have a great hit and a goal sequence featuring Casey Powell from 2001 in this week’s Throwback Thursday, AND a little compare and contrast where we pit Mark Millon against Casey Powell in 2002. Kevin Finneran prefers Powell’s but that’s because he scored the goal. It’s more than fair. He was the one who scored off that assist!
