AND you’re absolutely right… he did PLAY hard and that is what is important, if you’re winning. If you’re not winning of course play is still important, but so is EVERYTHING else. And to me, celebrating with teammates is part of that, even if you’re losing. The Knighthawks need to start building to something better right now or they are destined for a miserable 2011. To me, an easy fix is to have more fun on the floor, celebrate the stuff you do well and work like a maniac on the stuff you don’t.

If Rochester were winning I probably wouldn’t be saying this. But Walters is an important part of that team and its going to take a lot more from him if they want to be truly successful. He definitely has the skill and drive to be a great player, he’s proven that time and time again. But as an athlete that plays a team sport, being a great player is almost NEVER enough.

Now, had he not made an effort on the ball and watched it go, I could understand being upset with him. But he played hard while the play was going and just didn’t celebrate after the goal went in.
