NYC Box Lacrosse – Week 1

nyc_box_lacrosse got back on track with a win during week one of ULax’s outdoor Winter box lacrosse league in Manhattan. The website’s squad took down Team America (although with a name like that, winning made us feel awful) with relative ease, but it was really encouraging to see so many new faces to box lacrosse from the fine fellows in blue. I’d expect this team to improve greatly as the Winter season rolls along.

Earlier in the day, the Brooklyn Dodgers took down the reigning champs, the Gotham Goats, in a high scoring affair. With a lot of players out of town this weekend for Thanksgiving, who knows what will happen in Week 2, or who will show up! Guys want to win, but not when leftover Turkey is on the line. That’s just post collegiate club lacrosse science.
