That Old Lacrosse Head: LaxAllStars Top String Warpath

The Warrior Warpath is not an “old” head by any means. It came out in 2006 or 2007 and was a beginner/intermediate head that never became all that popular. It’s pretty sturdy, basic, and totally usable, and it’s not a head you see every day.

To spruce up this somewhat dull head I threw in a piece of PowLax mesh and used the LaxAllStars Top String and some bright blue and red string. The colors pop, the stars show perfectly, and this head is now totally usable by a New York City high school lacrosse player.

This beat up Warpath head came out great. The pocket has a nice channel, and just a little bit of whip as the ball comes off the shooters. It should break in nicely and quickly, and it’s a huge improvement over the old pocket that was gracing this bad boy. This head, like many of the heads from the TOLH Series will go back to CityLax, so that a NYC public school player can get a free stick if they need it.

Next week I’ll be fixing up another old lacrosse head (probably not another Brine D80 though) and fixing up the pocket, then giving it back to CityLax. What head will I fix up? What head do YOU want to see me fix up? The choices are endless, so speak up and let me know what you want to see!
