@Zebralax I agree with you that the field was bad. However, that is the only thing I agree with you on. LXM Pro is a Professional lacrosse Tour(not pick-up lacrosse)! Also, they have too many pros which means some pros don't make the rosters at each event. The open try-out does NOT mean they need players. They only choose one player from each open tryout to play in the LXM pro game. This is a great way to give the fans a chance to play with the pros. Have you even been to an LXM pro event? That's what I thought? Go to an LXM pro event and you'll have a great time. If you are a lacrosse fan, t

Yeah Vegas has at least one lax-specific turf facility that is top notch. Honestly, one of the nicest fields I have ever played at. It doesn't have stands however, and it isn't across the street from the hard rock hotel like the crappy field that they used for the event- actually outrageously far out in the Las Vegas asteroid belt.

And1 Tour popularized "open runs," which is basketball. Dallas Cowboys had a freakin reality show that put a dude on the roster and in the game (Holley), that's football. Baseball has farm teams that play/travel in shotty (at best) venues/busses, baseball. Hockey is similar to baseball in that regard. X-Games has open runs and KILLS it. Clearly LXM doesn't want to be any of those things, or even a league, so it's tough to compare.

Field for the game was really whack. TOugh call there.

Correct me if I'm wrong here...try outs were held on "two beautiful new turf grass fields with lights", but the game- the thing that is a "pro-league" and supposed to bring out all the fans was played on a field that was beyond dead, unevenly cut (from the looks)? How does that make any sense?
I realize I'm changing topic here, but playing on a dead field will get you 0 respect in terms of calling yourself a pro-league, it's pick-up at its finest.

I only had to say that because I would have reversed the fields. BUT to this article, I think that's a pretty cool idea. Regardless of my opinion on the LXM, these guys have some skill and it would be cool to play with them. However, to finish up this thought, the LXM is NOT a pro league if they're just having open tryouts. That to me means a) they need some people, b) what other sport does this? None because there are too many people wanting to play they don't need random Joe's
