A couple weeks ago Kyle Harrison made his way to the home of Lacrosse All Stars, Boise, Idaho. Kyle hosted three shooting clinics for youth and high school lacrosse players, and we were lucky enough to grab a few minutes of his time.
Success in life is all about finding an opportunity, and then pushing that chance to the limit with honest dedication and passion. Shortcuts and divergent paths are always present, and staying on the straight and narrow is a constant battle in our society. Keeping your sights set on the bigger picture is easier said than done, but it’s still the best way that I know to make good on your lot in life.
When you’re a powerhouse team, you have the luxury of wearing whatever gear you want because you have the talent to back it up. Fortunately, the two-time defending MCLA Division II champs, the St. Thomas Tommies, decided to have stylish helmets for the 2013-2014 school year.
The Edge is famous for being an elite defensive head, and while this incarnation is no different, it does provide more versatility due to its universal specs and “Superlight” construction. As an offensive player, I was curious to see how I’d like this head, and was overall impressed with how it performed.
The Triangle Top String (TTS) is easily one of my favorite top stringing methods. It’s a slight spin-off of a typical 9-diamond top string, but I have found that it keeps the mesh tighter to the top of your lacrosse head, which really helps prevent the ball from hitting plastic.

Japan brought a team to Melbourne, Australia to take on an Aussie side in an international friendly match this Summer. The game was played in June, and both teams brought competitive squads, focused on improving for the 2014 World Championships in Denver this Summer.
Welcome to Fall Ball! It doesn’t matter if you say it’s all about the grind, or all about effort… you’re wrong either way. Fall Ball is about two things: 1) building for the Spring, and 2) hopefully, staying out of trouble. Some programs have been doing a great job with #1 and #2, while others are struggling with at least one part of the equation.
America ReFramed is a program on PBS that looks at America through 26 different films, where each film is either 60 or 90 minutes long. On September 24th, at 8pm, PBS will air America ReFramed: The Medicine Game, and I can’t wait to watch this 90 minutes special on Jeremy Thompson and his brother Jerome.
