Week 2 of ULAX’s New York City league saw a some blowouts, and some tight games. The game of the weekend was the Gotham Goats vs. the Brooklyn Dodgers, with the Goats coming out on top.

Japan brought a team to Melbourne, Australia to take on an Aussie side in an international friendly match this Summer. The game was played in June, and both teams brought competitive squads, focused on improving for the 2014 World Championships in Denver this Summer.
Welcome to Fall Ball! It doesn’t matter if you say it’s all about the grind, or all about effort… you’re wrong either way. Fall Ball is about two things: 1) building for the Spring, and 2) hopefully, staying out of trouble. Some programs have been doing a great job with #1 and #2, while others are struggling with at least one part of the equation.
America ReFramed is a program on PBS that looks at America through 26 different films, where each film is either 60 or 90 minutes long. On September 24th, at 8pm, PBS will air America ReFramed: The Medicine Game, and I can’t wait to watch this 90 minutes special on Jeremy Thompson and his brother Jerome.

Last night Paul Rabil tweeted a link to the newest ESPN SportsCenter commercial. Not only is lacrosse featured in the video, but Rabil himself appears twice.
When Bryan Jenkins first started creating Musket lacrosse shafts, he had one goal in mind. That goal was to bring reasonably priced, high performance lacrosse shafts to his players, who play in non traditional areas. Bryan coaches lacrosse in Montana and he created Musket shafts with HIS players in mind. There are two composite Musket shafts, one black, and one white.
This year seems to be a progressive one for box lacrosse. I’ve seen more programs and tournaments pop up these past few months than ever before, and even the NLL is getting on board by hosting its first Junior Tournament in Toronto.
Wyatt Melzer played lacrosse at Virginia, and after graduating he wasn’t exactly sure what he was going to do with his life. Through an alumni connection he got hooked up with Harlem Lacrosse & Leadership, and it all took off from there.
On October 12th and 13th, Nadzitsaga-Harney Lacrosse and the Burns Paiute Tribe will be hosting the Reservation Day Celebration & Pow Wow and the 6th Annual Amos First Raised III Medicine Games Lacrosse Tournament at Burns High School, Burns, Oregon.
