All three Thompsons have scored some pretty incredible goals this year, but none of them have been quite so casual AND highlight reel worthy, as this recent effort from Lyle Thompson.
ROAR Sports Drinks are based out of Long Island, and the company focuses on a newer, more extreme sport community, of which lacrosse is a part. Kids all over Long Island, New York, and the Northeast have been giving ROAR a shot, so we figured we should too! Plus they sent us 12 bottles of product to try out… how could we not?
We get great questions from our readers on traditional stringing, but we also get some really awesome, and sometimes weird, questions that stump even the finest minds at LAS. When it comes to situations like that, we reach out to the experts.
From the deep south, comes one of the best assists we’ve ever seen.
Editor’s Note: Please welcome Nate Fritts to Lacrosse All Stars! After spending a lot of time with Nate on the Rhino Lacrosse Camp Tour a couple summers back, we quickly came to respect his passion for all things music and immediately knew he would be our man for Music Monday. Nate hales from Portland, Oregon, played at Bowdoin College (NESCAC) in Maine, and now resides in Boston, MA where he researches concussions and brain diseases when he’s not laxing. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________…
Three of this weekend’s games followed very similar formulas: fairly close and low-scoring in the first half, with one team pulling away in the second. In the fourth game, one team flat-out whooped up on their overwhelmed opponent, who eventually clawed back into making the final respectable.

Each week I’ve been asking if the D1 Lacrosse Polls Are Serious, and each week it seems like the answer is yes. Really, it’s immaterial, as all that matters is making the big dance, and then going on a run to glory.
Game Photos! The Ohio State – Loyola game was a true thriller, as Loyola went up with a slight lead in the third, and the OSU stormed back to win the game 18-11, scoring seven unanswered goals to switch the momentum completely.

A few Shakerz had an opportunity to play in the Hawaii Invitational with Wimmer Solutions in 2012. Aside from the absurdly high talent level at such amazing event, there was an opportunity to really understand what motivates some players to greatness.
Syracuse’s David B. Falk College has released a breathtaking movie on the history of lacrosse, and we are SO PROUD to say that we made the cut, and were included in the video! It’s a huge honor, and we were a little surprised to see ourselves playing alongside some of the other legends featured.
Miles Thompson’s recent goal against Stony Brook is insane. He takes a look at the net, turns his back, pivots, and then just wails the ball at the net without looking, sticking it inside the pipe. If this were anyone else, we’d say they got lucky, but since it’s a Thompson, we want to know if you think he practices this.
Next week we’ll get back to answering Reader Questions, but this week we’re focusing on the 20th Annual Ales Hrebesky Memorial, where we found a TON of leather and lace. It was a beautiful sight to take in!
