We publish a fantastic photo every Friday, and if you drop the best Photo Caption in the comments section of this post, we hook you up with sweet LAS gear from the Lacrosse Shop!
Welcome to another Lacrosse Video Explosion. It’s Friday, it’s pouring in NYC, and lacrosse season is in full swing. What more could you ask for? Here’s to hoping that the weather is better in your neck of the woods!
This week, the forums are a buzz with our favorite MCLA writer Jac Coyne writing his last installment of ‘Schooling Schooler’.
Second to last week in the NLL regular season – lets go!
This week’s match-up is all about the brothers behind the LXM Pro.
Help us find someone who screams, I’m a Game Grower, with not only his words, but his actions. We want to reward all of the best Game Growers nationwide with your help! Besides, who wouldn’t want to help their friends get a sweet new set-up from Easton Lacrosse?!
Bill Schick hits us up with his second lacrosse video and the highlights are excellent. Just a little post-collegiate NYC ULAX lacrosse balling video. Enjoy!
Any time that McDonogh and Boy’s Latin get together for a High School lacrosse game, you just know it’s going to be killer. iLacrosse provides highlights from the Boys’ Latin 15-10 win over McDonogh. Boy’s Latin currently sits at 10-0 and is #1 in Maryland, according to Laxpower. McDonogh is 6-3, and faces 7-3 Loyola Blakefield on Friday.
Doug Runs SONofaHON down in Maryland, and he is the creator of the EverPocket, which is a removable/replaceable traditional pocket. Now Doug is back with a beaded traditional string, and while it’s one of the weirdest things I’ve seen in a while, it’s also one of the cooler things I’ve seen… Love the creativity!
This week’s giveaway is brought to you by Under Armour and StringKing Lacrosse.
There is something about college sports that keep the door open for upsets – the rivalries, the trash talk, the emotion. We pick the teams, you vote on the upsets. It’s the MCLA Fan Upset of the Week!
With the NJCAA Championships taking place on May 11th and 12th, we’ve reached the final month of JuCo Lacrosse for 2013. The five regions are starting to get sorted out, and an at-large is on the line for everyone else. Six teams enter, One team leaves… as champions!
In lacrosse, I have found it much easier to experience the positive stuff if you are part of a close knit team, and for first year programs, or teams filled with first year players, the “team approach” is especially important.
Jon Mundy is back to check out the Reebok Black Shoulder Pads.
This week’s reader poll is all about emerging areas. You know well enough by now that we love the rapid expansion and growth of lacrosse. It’s only a matter of time before a new major hotbed pops up and starts spitting out NCAA phenoms.
Paul Rabil took in a Philadelphia Phillies game last week, and he got to take on The Philly Phanatic in a fastest shot competition. Rabil went first with a 111 MPH rip, and the Phanatic follows up by… cheating.
This week’s Spotted comes to us from our very own Connor Wilson! C-dub was up late one night catching up on his Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when he came across this gem.
Two weeks ago, I provided a video featuring a number of MLL veterans and hopefuls getting together for some preseason training. This past week, I headed back to downtown Brooklyn with the talented Bill Schick, and I trained with the MLL guys for a while, while Bill shot some stellar video.
