The Lacrosse Network has two more excellent plays to offer up, and in this week’s Pick Your Poison, we’re pitting the MCLA D1 vs the MCLA D2, via Boise State and Concordia, respectively. Both goals were scored under pressure, but who’s effort was better?
The Albany Great Danes got a HUGE win for the program earlier this year over Syracuse, and that win has kept them buoyed in, or near, the Top 20 for much of the year. With their 10-9 win at Johns Hopkins on Friday night, the Danes are sure to move up in the standings, and they could even reach as high as #14 or 15.
Happy Saturday, lacrosse fans. Today’s going to be a good day… I can feel it. Rain or shine, I love Saturdays. My plan is to wake up around 9am and make a delicious breakfast complete with an omelet, greek yogurt with strawberries, and cinnamon raisin toast. Then I’ll go coach a high school lacrosse game, followed by running a few errands. I’ll be back home by 3:15 MT, just in time to catch my friend and LAS prediction master Ryan Powell on…
As it is in the NLL, one week can change the whole dynamic of the season – this was very evident for several teams this past weekend.
The Seton Hill University women’s lacrosse team was struck with tragedy on March 16th when their bus crashed on their way to an away game killing the driver, the head coach, and her unborn child. This story is heart wrenching, and as a former college lacrosse player, it hits close to home.
Jeffrey Melnik has seen it all. He plays box with us over the Winter in NYC, plays field in college currently (for NCAA D3 SUNYIT), served in the Air Force, runs Conquest Imagery, and is an all around superb person. His first post covers what it is really like to be a student-athlete. It’s a GREAT read!
We publish a fantastic photo every Friday, and if you drop the best Photo Caption in the comments section of this post, we hook you up with sweet LAS gear from the Lacrosse Shop!
Welcome to another wonderful Friday! Fridays mean Lacrosse Video Explosions, and that only serves to make this great day a little greater. The weekend is here: it’s time for lacrosse.
In this week’s ‘Who Does It Better?’, we pit two hotbeds against each other to see who has the better accent!
Earlier this week we posted a great recap of the Top 25 national match up featuring Chaminade and West Islip. We’re back today with an inside look at LaFayette (NY) High School’s lacrosse program, and the US Lacrosse Top 25 National Rankings.
Last week I filmed a bunch of MLL guys training for the 2013 season. After it was all said and done, I got the opportunity to speak with Ari Sussman of the Boston Cannons, and we hit up the topic of traditional stringing because, well, what the heck else would we talk about?
Season 2, episode 4 of Club Ball dropped last night. Best one yet? We’d say yes.
What more is there to say, really? It’s 1962, it’s England, and they’re playing lacrosse. 100% class.
Late last year, we did a full Gear Showcase on the Blackfeet line of Wooden shafts. Built for the classic look but with the technology to keep you in today’s game, these bad boys can take a lot of punishment. If nothing else, we would want one for the look alone!
Welcome to Crosse Clicks! We’re putting together an epic post with tons of fantastic lacrosse information, photos, video and more. Everyone will find at least one thing they love… it’s unmitigated pseudo-science!
Even though it’s only April 3rd, the JuCo playoff scene is really starting to develop in earnest. Six teams get invited to the NJCAA National Playoffs this year, and with 5 automatic qualifiers handed out to the five different regions of JuCo lacrosse, the one at-large is a hotly desired and contested spot.
Ground balls are very important, everyone knows that, but do you… Man-ball?
There is something about college sports that keep the door open for upsets – the rivalries, the trash talk, the emotion. We pick the teams, you vote on the upsets. It’s the MCLA Fan Upset of the Week!
The High Point Panthers are in the midst of their first year of NCAA D1 Men’s Lacrosse, and Connor Wilson was able to steal Jon Torpey away from his regular duties to discuss the program.
